Children are having their year end vacation, hence CORD is using this time to provide free tuition classes for the CORD sponsored children to improve their performance in various subjects. The field officers of CORD Jaffna evaluate the children’s performance throughout the year with the facilitation of the respective school teachers, who recommend extra attention to certain students in certain subjects. Extra classes are conducted on various subjects such as Maths, Science, Tamil, English History and social studies. Children from 4th standard to O/L are attend these classes. CORD also provides supplementary meals for these children when they come for these classes. Students are given this opportunity to utilize this time to improve their education and they are able to clear their doubts freely and as frequently as they want during classes.
