INTRODUCTION OF US

Empowering Sri Lanka Through Compassion and Community-Led Change

CORD Sri Lanka is the service arm of Chinmaya Mission, dedicated to uplifting communities through a holistic approach to rural development. Since 2005, we’ve been working with tsunami affected, war-affected, displaced, and underserved communities—especially women and children—in Northern, Eastern, and Central Sri Lanka.

Our mission is rooted in the values of Seva (selfless service) and the vision of Swami Chinmayananda, who believed true service uplifts both the giver and the receiver. From post-tsunami relief to long-term development, our journey has evolved into an integrated system of programs focusing on education, healthcare, psychosocial support, and livelihood development.

With every sponsored child, trained woman, and restored well, we move closer to a self-sustaining Sri Lanka—built on dignity, empowerment, and community resilience.
