Ulavanoor is a remote village in Kandavalai Secretariat Division, Kilinochi. In 2010 CORD Sri Lanka commenced operations in this village, there is currently a total of 146 members in 10 Self Help Groups (SHG) engaged in various self-sustainable activities. These Groups consists of War Widows, women abandoned by husbands and deprived people.
On 15th October 2012 CORD with the intention of nurturing and helping people came forward and identified 19 people who are interested in Cattle rearing and offered cows.
