Every three months CORD organizes a medical camp for all its sponsored children in their respective locations. Children’s nutritional state and BMI’s are calculated by measuring height, weight, age and gender. Each child is then examined by a doctor and prescribed medicine, vitamins or any other needs a child may require to which CORD then attends. Every child gets individual attention and following each of their prescriptions CORD purchases the needed medicine or vitamins for each child.
Dentist Dr. Sivaroopan and his team conducted a dental check-up camp to stress on the importance of dental health. CORD then provided all its sponsor children with tooth brushes and tooth paste.
Children vision was also tested by opticians and if any child needed treatment they were referred to the clinic and if any child needed spectacles CORD provides the necessary spectacles for the children. For those children who needed further medical care or treatment they were referred to the relevant Medial Doctors of which the expenses were covered by CORD.
