CORD Sri Lanka arranged a residential camp for the sponsor children from Jaffna and Killinochchi from 29/12/2013 to 31/12/2013.
Many fun filled and educational activities were conducted such as, games, singing bajans, meditation and chinmaya value based education programme which was conducted by the residential Swamiji Br. Jagrat Chitanya. Children enthusiastically participated in all these events and at night the children were asked to write all their bad habits on a paper and to throw it into a fire to symbolize that they no longer will continue those bad habits.
Furthermore children were taken to Nuwaraeliya and Seethaeliya on the next day where they were shown tea estates, waterfalls and the Seetha temple. On the following day Children visited Kandy Daladamaligawa (tooth temple) & Peradena gardens where they engaged in fun activities such as, horse riding and other games.
